2022 State Legislative District Profiles

North Dakota Compass provides demographic and socio-economic profiles for the 2013-2022 North Dakota State Legislative Districts. The profiles highlight 16 measures focusing on population, household, social, and economic characteristics for each of the 47 districts in North Dakota. Each profile compares district information with North Dakota and the United States.

2022 Profiles

2022 Profiles are based on the 2013-2022 North Dakota Legislative District boundaries. Legislative District boundaries are redrawn every ten years when the new Census numbers are released. After the 2020 Census was completed, new boundaries for North Dakota districts were redrawn and will take effect next year in 2023, and extend for ten years through 2032.

In 2022, we created again interactive maps for all districts featuring all 16 measures by topic area. The maps add value to the individual district profiles by having all the information on a map to easily compare district with district. The legend is especially helpful to see how much variation there is among districts. Check also the interactive Individual Profile tab to view district profiles one by one.
