Early Education

KIDS COUNT Data Center
The KIDS COUNT Data Center provides high-quality data and trend analysis. Contains state- and city-level data for more than 100 measures of child well-being. The Education indicators are grouped under Children with disabilities, Early Childhood, School Age, Test Scores and Other. Can generate custom reports, maps, and line graphs.

North Dakota KIDS COUNT
North Dakota KIDS COUNT is a state and county-by-county effort to track the status of children in North Dakota. Among other social indicators, it provides Early Care and Education indicators that offer insight into quality child care availability and costs, school enrollment, special education needs, expenditures per student, dropout rates, achievement scores, and the likelihood of pursuing advanced education and/or workforce endeavors.

Educational Achievement

The Education Trust’s Education Watch State Reports provide key data on educational achievement and attainment for all groups of students. These reports examine how students in each state are doing on National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and state-specific assessments, where achievement gaps exist, levels of high school and college participation and attainment, and the “opportunity gaps” from measures of teacher quality, curricular rigor and more.

National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) State Profiles
State Profiles presents key data about each state's performance in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) in mathematics, reading, writing, and science for grades 4 and 8. Also called the “Nation’s Report Card” the NAEP is the only nationally representative and continuing annual assessment of America's students in various subject areas. Since NAEP assessments are administered uniformly using the same sets of test booklets across the nation, NAEP results serve as a common metric for all states and selected urban districts.

ACT Profile Reports
The ACT Profile Reports provide valuable information about the performance of each state’s graduating seniors who took the ACT as sophomores, juniors, or seniors. The reports focus on student performance, student access, course selection, course rigor, college readiness, student awareness, and articulation to higher education.

The North Dakota University System Annual Enrollment Report is an attempt to report a single system wide, unduplicated count by combining degree credit, non-degree credit, and non-credit enrollments for an entire academic year.

College Navigator, National Center for Education Statistics
College Navigator consists primarily of the latest data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the core postsecondary education data collection program for NCES – the National Center for Education Statistics.

College Results Online (CRO) is an interactive, user-friendly Web tool designed to provide policymakers, counselors, parents, students, and others with information about college graduation rates for nearly any four-year college or university in the country.

The Education Profile summarizes broad trends in K-12 and postsecondary education data including enrollment counts, graduates and graduation rates, and postsecondary program completions by field of degree. The NCES website presents a variety of resources such as Publications and Products, Surveys and Programs, Data & Tools.

States Perform, The Council of State Governments
States Perform is an initiative of the Council of State Governments that provides users with access to interactive, customizable and up-to-date comparative performance measurement data for 50 states in six key areas: fiscal and economic, public safety and justice, energy and environment, transportation, health and human services, and education.

The Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) is a data warehouse comprised of historical education and workforce training data. The objective of the SLDS is to provide data on the outcomes of ND education and wor​kforce training programs.
